For Artists and Community Members

Welcome to the 2007 Capitol Christmas Tree Ornament project! Thank you in advance for wanting to be a part of this special initiative. Vermont is very happy and honored to be the provider of the 2007 Capitol Christmas tree in Washington this year. Your talent and creativity will certainly be reflected in the ornaments in Washington. Vermont takes great pride in its cultural heritage and a large component of that is made up of the state's artisans, craftspeople and community at large.

This project has a very special meaning to Vermont and we hope you that you feel the same way. There are many reasons why you as an artisan or member of the community should want to become a part of this unique venture. Most importantly, we feel that Vermont treasures and holds on to the ’ÄúOld-fashioned holiday’Äù and we can certainly represent that effectively with your help.

We would like to feature your ornament(s) on this website. If you send a high-resolution photo of the ornament(s) with your information to info@vermontwood.com we will post this on the website. Please include your name, town, ornament(s) title and website (optional) within the message body to be placed with the picture of your special ornament(s).

You find the specification sheets for details on criteria for the ornaments below. You will also find the Entry Form, which must be signed and sent to Gail Kilkelly (address provided on form).
Do not include this in the box with your ornament(s).
We are asking that you have your ornament(s) at your local Chamber of Commerce by October 30, 2007.

We have included a listing of all Vermont Chambers. If you don't have a Chamber of Commerce in your immediate city/town please choose one within your County. The Chamber address listing form can be found below.

The Entry Form is for you to enter in a drawing to win a free trip to Washington, DC to attend the Tree Lighting Ceremony in December. You will be honored as an ornament contributor to the project.
